—How we work

How an engagement works.

A clear sequence, agreed in advance, with documented decisions at each step.

—Starting with fit

A prospective engagement begins with an inquiry through this site and a short conversation. We use that discussion to understand the situation, the timing, and what success would look like, and to decide candidly whether IPM is the right partner. Sending an inquiry does not create an agreement, and IPM does not accept every project.

01Sequence

Four stages, each with something you keep.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start by understanding the goal, the current situation, and the obstacles in the way. That means reviewing what already exists, such as plans, processes, reporting, and prior attempts, and speaking with the people closest to the work. Discovery ends with a shared description of the problem, not a proposal.

  2. 02

    Define

Together we agree on scope, priorities, responsibilities, and deliverables. Anything outside that scope is named as outside it. The output is a written definition of the work: what will be produced, by whom, by when, and how decisions will be made.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Work proceeds against milestones with a predictable rhythm of communication. Progress is reported plainly, risks are raised early, and changes are documented before they are absorbed. You know the state of the work without having to ask for it.

  4. 04

    Strengthen

At close, we review what was built, transfer the materials and context your team needs, and identify practical next steps. The measure of a good engagement is that the structure keeps working after we step back.

02Practice

What stays consistent.

01

Communication

Each engagement has a named point of contact and a meeting cadence sized to the work. Written status notes follow each milestone, and urgent matters are raised directly rather than held for a scheduled call.

02

Scope and change

Scope is documented at the start. When the work needs to change, we describe the impact on deliverables, timeline, and priorities before the change is made, in writing, with your approval. Nothing material is added silently.

03

Handoff

Every engagement produces materials your organization can use independently: plans, trackers, process documentation, and written context explaining the decisions behind them. Where it is useful, we prepare a short transition plan for whoever carries the work forward.

An inquiry is a conversation, not a commitment. Engagements begin only under a separate written agreement.

Start with a conversation about the work itself.

Share an overview of what you are building, improving, or preparing to launch. We will discuss whether the work fits and what a first phase could realistically cover.
